An old Chinese saying goes, ‘If a couple can withstand the journey through IKEA together, it can withstand the whole life journey together’. Ok, ok, that’s a pretty loose translation but come on, have you been to IKEA recently? And boy, these two have had to make so many trips there and compare MALM to HEMNES then assemble them, yet they still love each other enough to want to spend the rest of their lives together. Seven and a half years, two rabbits and one dog later, they’re ready to say ‘I do’ to each other and they mean it!
Also, their love is so great that every year on their anniversary (September 10th), Gibraltar has the day off to celebrate! Now that is special!
But to go back a little… She’d gone out for a ‘girls night’ and he’d gone to a paintball team meeting. They both expected a hangover rather than a relationship. But they were in for a surprise as this is exactly what happened! Though he was too shy to call her after they exchanged phone numbers so she had to. Girl power! And thank God for that, otherwise you wouldn’t have had an awesome wedding to go to…
They share many common passions – being outdoors, keeping fit, a love for animals, travelling and food to name a few. Proud parents to Buttons and Pretzel the bunnies and Diesel the pup (follow him on Instagram), fellow scout leaders and volunteers for the Animals In Need Foundation, these two never stop. They’re also planning on climbing Mount Fuji as part of their honeymoon instead of lounging on a tropical beach with a cocktail in hand… I mean, who does that, right?
But we love them all the same! Who wouldn’t?
